Headway Homes, LLC (“Headway Homes,” “we,” “our” or “us”) respects your privacy. This notice explains how we collect, use, share and secure information that could reasonably identify you (“Personal Information”) when you:
browse www.headwayhomes.org (the “Site”) or any sub-page,
complete rental, employment or product-purchase forms,
buy fencing or other products in our new storefront, or
communicate with us by phone, e-mail, live-chat or SMS/MMS text message.
Unless stated otherwise, this Policy applies only to data gathered online through this Site. (Offline collection is described under “Offline Collection.”)
COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
Active Information. We collect the information you knowingly submit—e.g., rental or employment applications, product-checkout fields, surveys, interactive-forum posts or e-mail registrations.
Passive Information. When you visit the Site we automatically record “Site Usage Information” (browser type, pages visited, time on page, referrer URL, IP address, etc.). We use cookies, web beacons and embedded scripts for this purpose.
Offline Collection. If you hand us a paper lease, pay rent by cheque or call our office, we receive additional Personal Information that is not gathered through the Site. If we subsequently combine offline data with data collected online, this Policy will govern the combined set.
Information from Other Sources. For rental or job applicants we may receive credit reports, eviction history or reference checks from third parties. When combined with Site data, this Policy governs the merged record.
Children. The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their Personal Information.
USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Headway Homes retains and uses data to:
provide requested services or process transactions;
communicate offers or features we believe may interest you;
respond to questions or service requests;
contact you about your account or this Site;
process applications, payments or account changes;
conduct user surveys or promotions;
improve the Site, services or customer experience;
comply with law and defend our legal interests.
FINANCIAL INCENTIVES & LOYALTY PROGRAMS
From time to time we offer discount codes (e.g., “10 % off your first fence order”) or loyalty points in exchange for joining our e-mail or SMS lists.
Categories of data collected: name, e-mail, mobile number, purchase history & engagement metrics.
Value of data: the average redeemed discount (< $35) reasonably relates to the revenue and analytical value we receive.
Opt-in / Opt-out: participation is voluntary. You may withdraw at any time (see “SMS/MMS Program” and “Marketing Choices” below) without losing any one-time discount already issued.
SMS / MMS PROGRAM
By entering your mobile number during check-out, within the resident portal, or by texting JOIN to our keyword, you consent to receive promotional and/or transactional texts:
Frequency: up to 4 marketing texts per month, plus necessary transactional alerts (order status, delivery updates, rent reminders).
Charges: message & data rates may apply.
Opt-out: text STOP to cancel or HELP for help.
Delivery platform: Texts are sent through CTIA-certified providers (Textedly/Twilio).
No third-party marketing sharing: SMS consent/mobile information will not be shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. We disclose phone numbers only to our messaging processors to complete requested deliveries.
We store opt-in logs for at least four years to comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Headway Homes does not sell Personal Information to third parties for their own direct marketing. We may share data:
Affiliates / Subsidiaries – to service your tenancy, purchase or inquiry.
Service Providers – payment processors, resident-screening firms, shipping carriers, utilities-billing agents or marketing-support vendors who need the information to perform contracted services.
Legal & Safety – when required by law, subpoena, court order or to protect the rights, property or safety of Headway Homes, our users or others.
Corporate Transactions – in connection with a merger, asset sale or property sale in which tenant or customer records transfer to the purchaser.
We may share aggregated or de-identified Site-Usage data with third parties.
MARKETING CHOICES – GPC & DO-NOT-TRACK
E-mail: click “unsubscribe” in any marketing e-mail.
SMS: text STOP.
Cookies / Pixels: adjust browser settings or click “Cookie Settings” on the Site.
Global Privacy Control (GPC): we honour browser-based GPC signals as a request to opt-out of cross-context behavioural advertising and any “sharing” under California law.
Legacy “Do-Not-Track” header: our Site does not respond to the older DNT signal; please use GPC or cookie controls.
SECURITY OF INFORMATION
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards (including TLS encryption, access-controls and periodic security reviews). However, no Internet or storage system can be guaranteed 100 % secure.
AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING DISCLOSURE
Automated tools aid fraud screening and rental-application scoring, but a Headway Homes employee always reviews any score before a final decision that could affect housing eligibility or order approval.
THIRD-PARTY CONTENT & LINKS
Third-party content or cookies may appear on the Site. We do not control external sites and you should review their privacy policies.
PRIVACY POLICY CHANGES
We may modify this Policy at any time. We will use information in accordance with the policy in effect when it was collected unless you consent to the updated terms. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted signifies acceptance.
CONSENT TO TRANSFER
The Site operates in the United States. By using it you consent to the transfer, processing and storage of your information in the U.S., which may have data-protection laws different from your jurisdiction.
